Kent & Medway Social Enterprise Network CIC is the formal representative body for social enterprise in Kent & Medway. It provides a platform for peer to peer networking of organisations working collaboratively to promote social enterprise activity in the Kent area. It is currently undertaking a 2 year research and support project commissioned by the Health Minister, Phil Hope to work with social services and the PCTs in Kent to produce a model of commissioning and develop innovation in services. In addition KMSEN has just completed a 100% sample research project mapping all social enterprise activity in Kent & Medway. This will published on the website, and a full database will be used by commissioners.

KMSEN is also working with the se² partnership to develop collaborative partnerships in health, social care, employment support, and green energy. These project are supported by se² and Capacity Builders. KMSEN is also working with Business Link to promote social enterprise support and consultancy.

Working in partnership with our hosts Kent Enterprise Trust and Enterprising Opportunities CIC, KMSEN recently achieved the first purpose built community enterprise centre in Kent & Medway. The £1.7M building offers fully supported office space or hot desks, meeting rooms and very high quality conference and event space.
