The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Social Enterprise Network (H&IoWSEN), an open network of Hampshire based organisations and individuals with an active interest in the development of a thriving social enterprise sector. By 'open' we mean that anyone can come along to meetings and get involved and 'network' expresses the strategic decision made by network members to develop influence without the chains of constitution.
Network meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every other month between 10:00 and 12:00 at a variety of accessible locations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. To get onto the distribution list for agendas and papers please email the network co-ordinator on coordinator@hiowsen.org.uk.
H&IoWSEN has a number of strategic priorities to support the development of social enterprise. Three of the projects now very close to launch are:
- 3Market, event and web-based activities to encourage business to business sales for social enterprise
- the Hampshire Social Enterprise Incubator - an umbrella organisation providing an organisational structure, support and resources to incubate social enterprises from idea to successful spin out; and
- an online research tool for all web-based social enterprise information
In addition to these specific projects, H&IoWSEN is organising activities to support the development of social enterprise solutions to the changing market for health and social care (in particular the personalisation of care budgets).
